Preparing for your treatment

Dr. Chamata will provide you with pre-surgery guidelines to prepare for your procedure. You will need to arrange for a friend or family member to transport you home after your treatment, and you will be required to avoid certain medications and supplements before your BBL in Houston. Plan for two to three weeks off work to rest and heal. You will need to ensure your home is arranged for your comfort, you have purchased all of the required medications, and you have everything in place for a smooth recovery.

Harvesting fat cells for transfer

Fat cells will be harvested from areas of your body, such as love handles, tummy, waist, back, arms, or thighs. Gentle liposuction is performed to harvest fat, with the added benefit of slimming away fatty zones.

Purification

Time to rest and recover

Your Brazilian butt lift in Houston will require several weeks of rest without putting any pressure on your buttocks. You will need to sleep on your tummy and cannot sit on your reshaped butt for several weeks, allowing the transferred cells to become integrated into your body. Initially, your butt will be swollen, and you can expect some bruising. You will need to wear a compression garment to protect the area and retain the new shape. Dr. Chamata will see you in a follow-up appointment to ensure your recovery is proceeding as it should. You should be able to return to work or other activities within about two to three weeks.   • It is expected that you will experience some swelling and soreness that can be controlled with oral medication.
  • Avoid sitting for 6 weeks
  • Sleep on stomach for 6 weeks
  • Compression garment for at least 6 weeks to help contour the body.
  • Return to work in two weeks.
  • After approximately four weeks, you will feel back to normal and are able to resume exercise.
  • You will have regular follow-up appointments
