What is Lipo 360?

Lipo 360 is an innovative liposuction technique that’s able to target multiple regions of the abdomen simultaneously. As the name implies, the procedure utilizes a 360-degree approach to removing excess fat and contouring the midsection.

How Does Lipo 360 Differ From Traditional Liposuction?

The primary difference between Lipo 360 and traditional liposuction is the way each procedure targets excess fat. With traditional liposuction, Dr. Chamata will typically target only one area of the body for fat removal. For example, he may remove excess fat exclusively on the front of the abdomen or on the hips. However, with Lipo 360, he can remove stubborn fat from the abdomen, flanks, waist, hips, and back all in one procedure. This allows for more complete body contouring and a greater overall impact.

Benefits of Lipo 360

For anyone interested in removing excess fat from around their midsection, Lipo 360 can offer some or all of the following benefits:

  • Removes stubborn excess fat from several areas simultaneously
  • Creates a slimmer, more youthful-looking figure
  • More thorough body contouring than traditional liposuction
  • Increased wardrobe options
  • Increased self-confidence and self-image
  • Eliminates fat that you can’t get rid of with diet and exercise
  • Improved athletic performance

What Should I Expect During the Surgery?

If you’re interested in undergoing Lipo 360, the first step will be to sit down for a consultation with Dr. Chamata. During this meeting, you’ll learn more about the procedure and have the chance to ask any questions you may have. The doctor will want to know about your specific aesthetic goals to determine whether or not the surgery is right for you. He’ll also have questions about your current health, medical history, allergies, and any medications you’re currently taking. If you decide to progress with Lipo 360, Dr. Chamata will work with you to devise a personalized treatment plan that suits your unique needs.

Typically, Lipo 360 is performed as an outpatient procedure using either general anesthesia or local anesthesia with IV sedation. To begin, Dr. Chamata will make small incisions around the waistline in the areas where excess fat is being targeted. Then, using either a tumescent solution or ultrasound energy, the doctor will loosen the fat cells, making them easier to safely remove. He will then use narrow cannulas to suction out the loosened fat all around your midsection. Finally, the doctor will close your incisions with sutures and apply bandages and, if necessary, drainage tubes. In total, your Lipo 360 procedure will take around two to four hours to complete.

How Long Is the Recovery Time?

After your surgery, Dr. Chamata will provide you with detailed instructions to ensure that you heal properly. You should be able to return home a couple of hours after the procedure, but you’ll need someone else to drive you. Most patients are able to return to work approximately one week after Lipo 360, but you’ll want to wait at least four to six weeks before partaking in strenuous exercise.

Am I a Candidate for Lipo 360?

Adults looking to achieve comprehensive body contouring and eliminate excess fat around the midsection could be good candidates for Lipo 360. Ideal candidates for the procedure should:

  • Be in good physical health
  • Have the desire to eliminate stubborn fat all around the abdomen and waist
  • Have realistic expectations
  • Have a decent amount of skin elasticity
  • Be able to maintain a stable weight

How Long Will It Take To See Results After Lipo 360?

After your Lipo 360 procedure, the swelling, bruising, and bandages may prevent you from seeing immediate results. Typically, you can see the complete effects between one and three months after your surgery. If you maintain a stable weight and healthy lifestyle, you can expect the results of Lipo 360 to last for at least several years.
